In my octavia I am sure it's in the boot somewhere I can hear it when I turn on the ignition

And the pump injectors

Its the mechanical tandem pump on the engine that is being looked at in the recall for the PD engine.

Which fuel pump?

- The (low pressure) fuel lift pump? It's probably in the back, somewhere near the tank - on my (petrol) Octy I can hear it whirring as I open the driver's door.
- The injector pump(s)? You have one per cylinder (assuming it's a PD engine), integrated with the fuel injectors on the cylinder head.

Would not think so. I would have thought the only parts that were different were one or two uprated bits to handle the extra power (I.e, the gearbox/clutch, the ARB). Why would a fuel pump be any different? I would think the only difference would be in the diesel and petrol versions.
