Re: Wheres the cheapest place to buy chrome bonnet lifters?

Do you mean dampened bonnet struts like the R32. If so, I think that you could get some from VW that are the right size, just find out what size you need and see what size VAG one comes in.

Also, you'll need the wee lugs that the struts clip on to. These are fixed to the bonnet and body of the car.

If we can find some that fit, I think a GB will be on the cards!

Re: Wheres the cheapest place to buy chrome bonnet lifters?

AFAIK, no lifter has been found that will fit under the bonnet/by the wing when the bonnet is in the shut position.

It is a mission of mine to find a regular set of lifters which can be altered with accessable parts and make a set fit. And then have a GB with them all.

Re: Wheres the cheapest place to buy chrome bonnet lifters?

Milotec will offer a set of bonnet lifters for the Fabia soon. They had a project car on the Motorshow Essen here in Germany last december with these lifters equipped -> pic Release will be Summer - at least that's what they told us two weeks ago.
