| Briskodian | White residue On the black plastic around the wing mirrors and the black plastic around my number plate a white residue has appeared, I have tried everything to wipe it away it disapears when wet but as soon as it dries it comes back any ideas what it is and how to remove it my vrs is only a few months old and it looks really bad

| Sounds like polish on the unpainted plastic parts. Peanut oil/peanut butter works best to remove it.

| Briskodian | But does it remove it or just cover it up for a while like all the various trim detailers? I've found the only way to remove polish/wax residue from trim is dilute washing up liquid and a small brush ![]()

| The white residue is definatly car polish that hasen't been rubbed in or has settled in a grove in the cars body work, I had to get rid of some on my car.
