due to the better quality plastics used and overall better package. I did test drive both and they were similar to drive and the ibiza was not comfortable to drive as the suspesion setup was too hard and the plastics were of lower quality. It really depends what you want in a car. a more rounded package he VRS is the way to go, if a more sporty character is what you want and will do without some comfort then maybe the ibiza is for you. thats why I went with the Fabia as I wanted to be quick and comfortable 95% of the time

| Re: Why should I buy a Fabia vRS instead of a Ibiza FR I liked the 3door-ness of the Ibiza and the more sporty side, but I just thought it was so hideously ugly I couldn't cope owning one. So I went for the vRS. I think it's really '6 of one; half a dozen of the other'. Choose the one that stands out to you - it's essentially the same thing, just small details that you'll be living with.

| Re: Why should I buy a Fabia vRS instead of a Ibiza FR I test drove both before being the VRS. The Ibiza was lifeless, dull and lacked any real pull, IMHO it didn't handle either. It was a 05 plate FR with 4k on the clock. The interior felt thin and tacky and the seat squeeked. It was also more expensive for the options I specified. I returned the car and drove straight to the Skoda dealer. I am not putting the FR down it just wasn't as good a package. |

| Re: Why should I buy a Fabia vRS instead of a Ibiza FR Well having owned both (OK, mine is a Sport not a later FR but nearly the same) I like both, in their own way. Like will happen when you compare any two cars, no matter whether they share components or not, there'll be some things you like about one and not the other. And vice versa! I'm honestly a bit surprised about the number of comments in here about the look of the Ibiza, but again, 'to each his own'. It would be boring if we all thought the same thing The OP ended up buying a vRS anyway ![]() Steve
