Flamenco red Fabia 3 estate

Hi

As I don't rememember seeing any postings with pictures of a flamenco red Fabia estate, I thought that I would try and put some of mine into a post as I have now had it for just over 5 weeks and done 1900 miles.

Its a 1.9tdi with sunset glass, electric sunroof, rear electric windows, multifunction module on steering column for the radio, curve projector halogen headlights incl. cornering front fog lights, ESP, tpm, heated front seats, small leather pack, headlamp washers, mudflaps all round, door sill covers and front bumper spoiler.
I have replaced the feeble horn and the H7 headlight bulbs with Osram NightBreakers. Also just added a boot protector and dog guard.

Re: Flamenco red Fabia 3 estate

Very nice! I do love my Fabia estate, I've had mine for eight weeks. Today's the first time I've seen another new estate on the road - another storm blue one.

The sunset glass looks nice. I never really considered it as I wanted to keep the interior reasonably light and the black upholstery was enough darkness.

I think the Fab 3 is well worth the extra pounds. Did you go for ESP?

Re: Flamenco red Fabia 3 estate

Yes I wanted discs and so went for ESP. I did consider having the beige upholstery to offset the dark interior, but the Octavia II I part exchanged for this Fabia had that, and I was forever having to clean dirty marks off the seats and carpets.

Thanks. Having come from a stone grey Octavia, I do notice that the red colour does show the dirt very quickly.

Re: Flamenco red Fabia 3 estate

So does Storm Blue! I've got a blue car with muddy spots on it!

The black upholstery picks up and shows up the fluff avidly. Can't win!

Only downside we have found - if you store metal framed glasses in the spectacle holder on a hot day, you burn your nose when you put them on again!

Everything else about the car gets the thumbs up.

No, the rear diffuser was not an available option when I put the order in at the beginning of March.

Which horn did you replace with? Where did you get it from?

I loved the horn on my old Peugeot 309GTi, and hate the feeble horn on the Impreza.

Did you find the installation easy?

Re: Flamenco red Fabia 3 estate

Yes very. Just obtained everything needed in advance and pre-assembled as much as possible and then followed the instructions in the earlier thread. But as I have no intention of ever re-installing the original horn I just cut the connectors off the wires and fitted spade connectors.
