Got my Estate.... its grand Well after finally deciding on wednesday i picked up my brand new Fabia 3 1.9 estate in Brilliant Silver this morning (Fast turn around i know). Had to set off at 7.30 to get to Surrey, but it was worth it. First impressions are a cracking car, its punchier on the motorway than i thought it would be which is nice, the fuel economy already is cracking. Got 56mpg on the 200 mile return journey, with cruise on at 74 (not bad considering cruise is a very blunt instrument). Then filled up 40 miles from home, gave a range of 560, had a range of 575 when i got home! Pretty impressive, and i know this will only get better after the running in period. Refinement is certainly up over my old fabias which is nice, the climate, parking sensors etc all help the comfort of driving, never thought i would like the armrest so much too. Theres acres of room which i suppose was most important, Oscar (our lab) seems to approve, and i dont have to have do hairs everywhere! Im sure i will continue to wax lyrical for the next couple of weeks. Now, after getting up at 5.30, walking the dog twice, driving to london and back and doing the housework im going to watch some tv, relax and read the manual. Need to learn a few things, like how to turn the alarm off when oscar is left in the car (caused a stir in a service station car park earlier lol)

Re: Got my Estate.... its grand Got my Fab2 Estate 1.9 TDI (105bhp) yesterday, nice sedate drive home (running in). Love the fuel range calculation (dealer filled up fuel tank) increasing from 295 miles to 410 miles during the journey home :-)) My partners' Fab2 Hatch 1.4 TDI (80bhp) today indicated 475 mile range even after already covering 70 miles. If you want a picture of mine - look at the cover of the Fabia brochure - Anthracite grey metallic. Regards John

Re: Got my Estate.... its grand Theres some pics here as this is the one i bought http://briskoda.net/allams-skoda/fab...9/#post1464042 Ill take somemore of my own at some point im sure. I must say a massive thanks to James @ Allams too, for putting up with me while i decided between a Roomster and Fabia, answering all my questions and more. Getting me a great deal, giving me free accesories for the dog and throwing in enough fuel to get me home. If anyone wants to buy a Skoda i recommend talking to him, he might be along way away but he will make it worth the trip im sure.
