| Briskodian | NEW FABIA / FABIA VRS...what improvements would you like from the last generation? seen as this is a hot topic for most of us with the new fabia around the corner, what enhancements would you like to have over the older generation?, what would you alter from the old model? what new features would you like to see? for me, better handling as standard, different coloured seats (maybe half leather), 170 bhp derv engine....

| Re: NEW FABIA / FABIA VRS...what improvements would you like from the last generation ESP as standard, to leave it out in a fast hatch is stupid! (standard on punto sporting, C2 VTS, suziki swift ect) criminal.... (for that matter standard on all new cars, doesn't cost that much anymore, and insurers statistics state it would save 30% of fatal accidents!)

As above: With also: Less front heavy feel, Smoother and generally improved gear change, dashboard that doesn't mark so easy, Choice of seat colours that are more practical and hardwearing A cup holder in the dash Not having to visit the dealer 20 times in 2 years for endless faults. Sharper brakes, A Toyota badge on the bonnet because I wouldn't have another Skoda Fabia if someone else paid for it. Bluetooth Heated windscreen | |

| Fabian | Re: NEW FABIA / FABIA VRS...what improvements would you like from the last generation For the new Fabia vRS (in no particular order): Rear ARB or equivalent as standard (eliminate roll so it feels more like a vRS) more paintwork colour choices inc. unique vRS colours more interior/upholstery choices slicker, shorter gearchange 312 mm brakes as standard (to inspire more confidence in stopping ability) FMIC as standard (make the most of available power & may remove the need for remap in many cases) ... for £12750 otr or less. |

| Re: NEW FABIA / FABIA VRS...what improvements would you like from the last generation Lighter, particularly the front end. More clearance under the sump to allow more front suspension travel. Less crashy ride. More sporty handling, no nosediving on the brakes. Less understeer, more front/rear balance please. Less bland dash. Would like colours and textures other than differing shades of black plastic. J.

| Re: NEW FABIA / FABIA VRS...what improvements would you like from the last generation Assuming the new Fabia will be waterproof and won't have as many apparently inherent design problems (which incidentally classic car mags often refer to as 'character') I'd like to see: All the existing options plus: Climate Control ESP as standard. MP3 compatible audio. Steering wheel audio controls. Bluetooth phone connection. Centre armrest. Part-leather seats. More trim options (or just plain black). Electric rear windows. 2.0 TDI or 150BHP 20v Turbo petrol. Sunset glass. More colour choice. Better brakes. Better suspension. Less road noise. That should do it. When can I have one then?

| Briskodian | Re: NEW FABIA / FABIA VRS...what improvements would you like from the last generation Most importantly, the 12v powersupply (read cig lighter plug) in a useful place near the windscreen where sat nav cables CAN REACH!!!!!! and 2 VRS, 1.9 tdi 130bhp, and the 2.0 tdi 170bhp. Seats which dont show dirt easily and are easier to clean. |

| Briskodian | Re: NEW FABIA / FABIA VRS...what improvements would you like from the last generation Hi Guys Two things I would change (or improve) Controls for the radio on the steering wheel A button or switch to open the boot when the engine is running Loads of times I have had to switch the engine off and take the key out the ignition to open the boot. This is for security I would imagine but it's such a pain in the rear Oh sorry...and a cup holder in the front dash |
