Default Saving fuel

Here's an interesting article for those who wish to save as much as possible in fuel costs.

BBC NEWS | Wales | '£100 fuel save' for best parkers

I have heard this before, but very few people seem to bother nowadays.

"More tips for saving money when driving include removing roof-top storage boxes when not in use. "

Also, I heard someone say that the wardrobe on my roof rack might affect fuel consumption, but I think he's an idiot?

Its also considered a lot safer to reverse into a bay rather than reversing out.

This quote is a little freudian, eh?

"Read the road ahead to avoid sudden breaking"

Only reverse in at the supermarket if there's a walkway between the rows behind to get the trolley up. Otherwise you'll end up carting your shopping from the trolley to your boot as you cant get the trolley between the cars, and if the person next to you has also reversed in you just know they will try as hard as possible to squeeze the trolley between their car and yours taking your paint with them.

Yeah but since you're drying your wash while you drive that makes up for the ecological losses!

Whats HC mean?

The read the road ahead thing has popped up when there was all that talk of fraudulant insurance claims.
Theres nothing you can do if someone runs out in front of you but to sudden brake. But if you keep a reasonable distance. I hate it when you trickle up to a traffic lights and it changes just when you stop!!!!

And that parking thing popped up during womens safety too. I think that might have been on the insurance one too.

I havent seen an up to £100 saving though.
But I haven't had to pay for new brakes and things just yet.
