1.3 Felicia - Couple of Q's.... Right, here we go.... Ive got a '96 P plate 1.3 Felicia, and have a couple of questions.... 1: I notice there is a couple of different powered models when looking on Autodata, a 40Kw and a 50Kw version, how do I tell which version mine is? 2: Will the downpipe from a Favorit fit this engine, as it seems to be longer, which in turn, looks like it may work well as a cheap CAT replacement pipe? I've just replaced the clutch on it this weekend, and I love the car already, after just about 2 weekends of driving it, and this is coming from a 320bhp Impreza driver too! Its such a blast on the country lanes around here, and so just want to make it that little bit better, but so far, very impressed with my little Skod Missile! Any info greatly appeciated ![]()

Re: 1.3 Felicia - Couple of Q's.... interesting point about the favorit downpipe as a CAT replacement, anyone tried this or know if it will work? Would a felicia pass an MOT emissions test without a CAT ?

Re: 1.3 Felicia - Couple of Q's.... I'd seriously doubt that a Felly would pass an MOT without a cat. Anyone deaf got access to a sniffer so we can drop the cat off one and try it?

Re: 1.3 Felicia - Couple of Q's.... Yep thats what I clocked too! was going to have a punt on that longer favorit downpipe . Looks as though it was a genuine mistake as all his other feedback was positive.

Re: 1.3 Felicia - Couple of Q's.... As for the MOT not sure how it works, do they have a set CO2 figure in mind for a felicia that it must be below? There are reports of much less eco friendly cars passing without a CAT i.e scoobys and supras !! - but maby this is because the allowable limit is a percentage of the expected emmisions with a CAT (i.e 10% of 400 g/km instead of 160g/km)

Re: 1.3 Felicia - Couple of Q's.... I suspect some of those owners have either contacts in the trade or put the cat back on for the MOT test. Whats the difference with/without a cat by the way?

Re: 1.3 Felicia - Couple of Q's.... anewman - No it wasn't that seller, this is the one I clocked last night SKODA Favorit Hatchback 1.3 89-92 Exhaust Front Pipe on eBay, also, Skoda, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 21-Oct-08 14:53:58 BST) Steve100 - I doubt they would pass without the CAT, but im lucky to have the use of my cousins garage premesis to use whenever needs be, so I would swap it back over for the MOT in 10 mins. As for Scoobys and whatnot passing without CATs, you're correct, my Scooby passes with both CATs removed, with it being an early import, there is no pass limit listed on the MOT stations computer, therefore, well, I dont know, its summit like that !Captian Sisko - De-cat will give a little more power/torque, and let it rev a bit more freely.

As for "grey imports", unless it was a UK model they'll not actually have a CO figure to test it against, and all import Supra 4s, even the TTs, are technically a different and hence unlisted spec to the Toyota UK official import TTs. | |
