I have a cube van which is a pickup with a hard top bolted on. depends which engine he's going for really. I don't know much about the petrol ones, but the 1.9D often suffers from the "hot start" problem and requires a change of temp sender switch. It's a mildly leaky engine as well so you need to keep an eye on oil level.

Apart from that, the windscreen seals are prone to perishing, thus letting water into the cab, the rear shocks often go if the pick up's had a hard life and the rear suspension is totally custom for the pick up so suspension parts are often hard to get hold of.

I've been told that lowering can be achieved using Mk4 Golf springs on the existing set up.

Check that the rear strut turrets/wheel arches are not severely corroded in the pickup bed

That is a Felicia Fun. They were a limited edition and I have only ever seen 2 in the flesh. They're very cool vehicles . There's a thing you can fold out and have 4 seats (only thing is if it starts raining either it fills with water or your passengers have to get out and walk). A truckman top was also available. From the pics it looks like one is not included, so the near £4k asking price is a bit much IMO as they sell for less on ebay with the tops. Guess it depends on how much you'd want the top though.
