Default Felicia air bag warning light

had this symptom on my partners car - been to the garage - associated problems are - lack of power - radio comes on at will & rear wiper goes bonkers -printed off your suggestions & showed to the garage - they confirm its the voltage regulator - but there is only 1 new one in the country and no alternators - unfortunately the battery has spilt acid due to the overcharging and there is damage to the paintwork cos of this - so beware if it happens to you...

Were they a skoda dealer? Someone must have some alternators, call some local motorfactors (look in the yellow pages). Or try Jorily skoda on ebay, he might be able to source the parts

Battery acid can be nasty stuff, wash it off with a tonne of water.

Hi
You tend to find it is not the whole alternator , but the voltage regualtor
It is overcharging
You will get funny smells too
The reg is only approx £25 and you can get them from Butts Of Bawtry
Dont go ott on the full thing just to help getting a quick one
