| Good Day. Am looking for a rear mounted cycle carrier for my 96 model felicia estate. Have spoted some, Thule (9106 model @ £109) and the Montblanc high rear mounted carrier (from agros for £49), they both apear so high that the lights and numberplate are not obscured. Which is great ![]() I wondered if anyone has any tips or suggestions as i have never used a cycle carrier before. Unsure if you can get a cycle carrier on the boot that will let you open the boot with the carrier still attached or even with cycle still on carrier. Or if they have to be completly removed to use boot. Have no tow or roof bars so am going for a boot carrier. Someone mentioned that some carrier models may have dumbell fittings that are just traped in the door, where as other models have clip on fittings. Plan to travell with my skoda, is the main reason for chosing an estate, so i can put a materess in the back, and have room to kip in it if need be, put my cycle on the back and have room for some belongings, a surfboard and myself Any tips or advise will be apprieciated or suggestions |

| If money matters, I saw a 3 cycle carrier recently in Wilkinsons half price, was this exact one Brand New 3 bicycle Carrier. Car Rack. on eBay, also Car Racks, Cycling Accessories, Cycling, Sporting Goods (end time 19-Apr-08 20:19:12 BST) I am summising the Ebay seller has been to wilkinsons and cleared their store out. I *think* the price was something like £13 but can't remember precisely. I have seen them in Tesco too I believe. Not used them before though so cannot comment on them. |

| do you have a towbar on your car? I have a witter one and they do a cycle carrier that holds up to 3 bikes. Witter Towbar Electric Kits i got mine second hand off ebay and it is great! Only downside is the need for a light board, but again you can get these for very little these days Bonus is that you don't have all the straps and fiddling with other ones

| I have one by Paddy hopkirk which my sister got for me. I put it on the back of the car (clips on the side of the boot - metal clips clasp the edge) and is really good. It hooks on 6 different places, and I also bought a lighting board (about £12) so I was legal |
