| I think I have a dirty/faulty connection on my main beam switch on the light stalk. When pulling towards me to flash the main beam it takes 2/3 goes before the light work. Can I remove it without taking off the steering wheel? If I can, will contact cleaner be ok or will I need to get a new stalk? Cheers |

| Unfortunately you will need the steering wheel off to get the top cover off and get the switch out! Have just had my switch unit out last night as i have also been having problmes with mine (different problem though!) Just be careful if you decide to open it up and clean it as i ended up loosing a spring out of it and it doesn't self cancel now! Phil |

| Unfortunately it's a 1999 with airbag - not sure I want to mess with it. I'll persevere for now and sort it if it goes completely. Cheers |

IME self-cancelling units do two things, cancel when you don't want them to, and not cancel on gentle exits. ![]() | |
