| Hi Briskodians, I've been thinking for a while of a way to upgrade the front brakes on my felly by replacing the standard parts with ones from VW model range. What parts to go for that are a direct replacement?

| Dunno about other vw parts, but i would go for a set of drilled and grooved discs and a good set of pads

| ![]() you need to make up a ring to go on as well because the centre spigot for the brake disc is a smaller size (62mm) on the skoda hub as apposed to 65mm on vw hubs

| ![]() autocad drawing that i produced for them, on the right hand side there is a dimension marked 39, if you reduce this to 26 and adjust the rest accordingly it will fit the 256mm disc instead of 280mm ![]() finished bracket at a cost of approx £150 for the pair

| ![]() 'ring' fitted to the hub if you want a set made, i'm pretty certain they will still have the CNC cutter paths stored on disc somewhere, i had them done at a local precision engineering firm riddiford racing and engineering they specialize mainly in making parts for speedyway bikes but they will do anything really

| thanks for the clarifications and the nice illustrations. I need to enhance the braking power on my felly. Can i achieve this if i replace the rear drums with discs and pads? What to go for?

| it is possible to fit rear discs using the stub axles and brake calipers from a lupo or 6n2 polo, but it would need a fair bit of fiddling around to make it work right, not to mention longer hand brake cables
