Anyone thinking about this, go for it if funds permit, you'll be impressed with the results. And easy to fit yourself.

Cooler, hence denser air on the inlet side should result in better BHP, not been on a RR yet. Will post when I have been RR.
I saw a VRS with Seat FMIC on the rollers before and after the results were 11bhp more, at the moment I suspect less from the Forge one it sits lower and not quite as large as the Seat one, but I don't know re total surface area, Mr Forge may comment, as he has probably seen both at some stage side by side.
When on my grass airstrip on Monday I did notice a massive reduction in reek from the back and I didn't feel the engine backing off under acceleration so must be doing it's job. I also have to block off the pikey mods in the wheel arches to try and prevent air bleeding away from where I want it before going on the rollers.

Well got mine fitted today!

Car feels more perky at lower speeds and a little less hesitant.. but the big difference is when I am accelerating hard.
I dont feel the car backing off now - it revs easily towards 5000rpm and the smoke is much reduced. Because you dont get the backing off, you can hang on to gears a bit longer and I would say it makes the car quite a bit quicker in real world driving because of this.

Will post some pics later on. The guys at Forge have done a top job.

Matt,

Did you fit it yourself? If so how hard was it as I'm tempted to have a go at it tomorrow

I took it down to Forge and they did it for me.

I would have done it myself but thought i'd leave it to the pros!

Great day there - really friendly people and great service. Was made to feel very welcome and even got a tour of the workshop.

It was an absolute P.O.P to fit mate, if anything just a little time consuming, but thats nothing cutting out 5 coffee breaks couldnt have helped,

the instructions that came with it were pretty near spot on and if you download the pdf from www.forgemotorsport.com you can zoom in on the pics to get a better idea
