Just a tip for those fitting the FMIC, pad out areas as you go where you think there may be rubbing. I used felt pads. Below intercooler on long pipe. On chassis leg where pipe goes through ( against jubilee clip ). At fuel filter housing and below engine top cover.

I had to stick a sticky pad on my FMIC piping by the oil dipstick - Something the Forge one won't worry about. Aside from that mine never touched anything. But its a good mod to prevent wearing / marking. Sticky pads are damn useful - used a few on my numberplate application job too.

All were fitted as a precaution whilst bumper was off rather than find out later.

And, im not trying to be a martyr but if you look back on the thread it seems neither Jifster or Choppa specified hose colour either which was then an automatic selection of blue and both have recieved their FMIC's, maybe i'm wrong for being a bit miffed???

There's nothing like getting a shiny bit of metal in the post. Was a great feeling to get my FMIC, Turbo, Clutch, through the post. The engine was a pretty nice delivery as well.

Oh yeah, but that was soon tempered by the fact it wouldn't fit.

Running full power, well "standard" PD130 power yes. And its AWESOME. God knows what it'll be like when tuned up. It holds maximum boost long and steady - sounds excellent - The induction noise is excellent

Good news Derek, did you get the e-mailed instructions with the colour photos.
Speak with you at 4 when you have it fitted and tested

Anybody else want colour photos/ instructions PM me your e-mail address, I asked Forge and they sent a PDF file.

I'm gonna have a whole team helping me this weekend fit mine

Many thanks Forge again for sorting it out, and reassuring me about my silicon hose colours

I got the front bumper off and my old back injury kicked in and made me hit the deck, i have now been fighting thru the pain barrier for 3 hours and I'm ready to put the front bumper back on.

The pain is like I've never felt for a long time, do you think this is like the muller rice adverts and the pleasure pain thing??

Lets hope the FMIC is my pleasure when i start it up

I'm sure you'll manage to put the bumper back on.
Has anyone thought of modifying the air scoops that were attached to the radiator, I was going to do this to stop the cool air bleeding away through the wheel arches.

FMIC Fitted and tested, Seems to be pulling a bit better but only had it out for 5 minutes.

Fitting was a doddle really, and i took at least double the time i should have coz of my back.

Big thanks to Forge for sorting out the issues before and also that funky wee keyring.

Fancy an RR trip to star when you get back from hols now Craig?
