Reversal of 007p Valve

I've been reading up on here about reversal of the valve.

I have now got mine in the reversed position and i like the new noise.

Are there any downsides to having it setup this way ?

It will be ok , but we would recommend fitting the valve in the same orientation as the OEM

It makes more noise because it's working harder. The pressure is working on the side of the piston rather than the underneath, like it's designed to do.

i noticed you had 2 black 007ps on ebay they soon went of the shelves. im keeping an eye open for any more you may want to part with. i cant use ebay at work or i would have jumped on them

internally the same , externally just changed and updated , functionality is not changed

great explanation. i will put it the correct way round to start with. ive heard that the pipes can be a pain to get off. any tips to aid them coming off in the first instance?

When warm there easy to get off.

dont know why you would want to reverse it to make it louder. having fitted mine the correct way round today. its more than loud enough for me and the victims of my weeee ttsshhhhhhh lol

I had a code pop up today.

I think it was caused by reversing the 007, can anyone let me know if my thoughts are true ???????

I hadnt checked it since putting it back the right way round again.

I reset the error, took it for a spin and all is good.

i would not have thought Forge would state it can be installed either way on their fitting guide if it was gonna throw up fault codes have you checked the other possibilities

16795/P0411/001041 - Secondary Air Injection System: Incorrect Flow Detected

Check Fuel Pump Relay (J17)
Check Hoses/Pipes to/between Components
Check Secondary Air Injection Pump (V101)
Check Secondary Air Injection Pump Relay (J299)
Check Secondary Air Injection Solenoid Valve (N112)
