Short shifter for Fabia vRS

Hi guys,

A while back this was work in progress - how much progress has been made

Reason being I'm quite keen to get this done to my car and I've got the week off + the car is at APS so if this is imminent for 'release' it would be good to know

If not, what kinda timescales are we looking at roughly?

Thanks

Re: Short shifter for Fabia vRS

The diesel prototype version has been completed and tested. There is a problem with the gear cable end restricting the short shift to any decent % so to make this a worthwhile job we will have to include more parts in the kit.
It will also mean that this kit will be more expensive but it will still be sensibly priced when its complete.
Sorry its taken so long.

Re: Short shifter for Fabia vRS

Do you have an idea of a release date? And an idea of cost?
We all know how good your products are, i know this will be worth the very long wait, as the fmic is the dogs balls.

Re: Short shifter for Fabia vRS

I'm tempted by the Basil method for this. But would like a proper short shift kit once one is out. I'm sure Luke had one on their demo vRS - Curious whether that was for another car and it was merely adapted to work in the vRS?

Re: Short shifter for Fabia vRS

i would be interested if it was to go ahead. I had a neuspeed short shifter on the beetle and it made a great difference.

Not untill next year/untill i get a promotion(meaning i get a sexy Transporter van) at work. Then the furby shall be on its way.
Its now on 17" octy wheels and looks extremly understated without the big 18" wheels.
