100k Service Quote please

Hiya,

My car's just popped up the 'your car is due a service in 1000miles'

Service History
Variable Servicing carried out at
20k
40k
60k
80k

Standard Servicing carried out at
89k

In the last service a number of advisories were given to me
* Rear disc's and pads badly scored and require replacing
* EGR Valve leaking oil

Please can you quote for a 100k service and the above 2 advisories and put a break down of each cost please. I wont be getting the service done this month (road tax due) but want to be able to prepare for the cost.

Blimey , you are up to date on all that
Nice to see
The full service for your car would be £170.00 + VAT
But if you dont need the air filter you can knock £10 + VAT off that price
Doh!!! you dont , I have just read your sig
Discs and pads , did you want uprated or just standard?
The rear brake discs are approx £25 each + VAT
the pads are approx £30 + VAT and fitting £49.50 + VAT
As for the EGR valve leaking , I will have to have a word with our technicians to see if there is a seal or something that could be leaking
So that will get you started for now anyway

Cheers Sarah, My air filter doesnt needs replacing, bought it from you in december (i think).

Standard disc's and pads will be fine for the rears.


Just checked my advise note and all it says is Oil Leak from EGR valve. Would it help if I try and find the leak myself and take some piccies for your techies?

Well I had a chat in regards that...
We think that the seals are not common for failing , but it could be the EGR itself....Cough cough not cheap
We can do the EGR bypass , but that may need coding in
I think it would be best if we checked it when it comes in if you dont mind , approx £350 ish they was saying

Would the bypass leave the Engine Management light on? all of the threads I've read all say the light will remain on permanently.
