Fab VRS service cost

Hi Awesome/sarah,

My fab is nearing it's 20k service I think?!?! It was serviced @ 4k and then 14k and is now near 24k, I don't know if it's a 20k or 30k service?? The last was done at Skoda in wigan but I'm not going to pay dealers prices, they changed the oil but not the air filter so I think I'm due a 20k service. (If you think otherwise please let me know) Anyway I have heard good things about you guy's (and Gal's) and since I pass you on my way home from work it would be easy just to pop in and get her serviced,

Well thank you, I hope we can look after you
We do try anyway
The air filter on your car does not get changed until 40k by a dealer
We change these every 20k anyway , to help with the fuel economy and the general breathability of the engine
A full service would be £170 + VAT , with that we would do oil filter , and oil , fuel filter and air filter
Full check over of the car and a full diagnostic check
Lights , levels etc
A interim service is £120 + VAT and includes all the above , bar the air filter and fuel filter
We can offer you a freer flowing air filter , we do Pipercross at £28 + VAT and would fit it FOC as part of an interim service too
£10 + VAT for an oil flush if you required
Then there is brake fluid
That is required every 2 years , it does not matter how many miles you do with that as it is age dependant
I think that is about it?

I think it will be the full service with the engine flush, also how much is the brake fluid change?? as I think it needs doing. How long does the full service take??
I think this might turn pricey because I've been looking to add cruise control and have just noticed you can retro fit this......

Sorry brake fluid is £59 + VAT
The full service is approx 2 hours maybe 2.5
Brake fluid , add an extra .5 to an hour too
Cruise control , I must admit , it was something I was going to treat myself too , but never have done

Sarah, can you give me some info regarding the remaps you have available at awesome?? My friend had his TT remapped by you guy's earlier this year and loves it. He keeps pestering me to do the same but I'm a bit unsure, can you do switchable ones?? I don't want a crazy remap anything around 160-170bhp is fine for me. Sorry to pester you.

The remaps , as your friend has a TT he will have the APR remap
APR have just finnished their remaps for disel engines

It seems it is strong , not the hightes BHP but when you say clutch friendly , it has to be good

The APR diesel maps are now available. The remap gives a healthy boost to the 130 PD engine without having to upgrade other components (e.g. clutch)

An APR remap for 1.9TDi (130PD) is priced at £375 +VAT and will take the car to around 160bhp (from 130) & 280 lbs/ft (from 228). In addition to the power increase our test vehicles have seen a fuel economy increase, especially on motorway journeys where the remapped car has been on average 15% more economical.

Are these generic remaps? I asked you about an economy remap a few months ago (along the same lines you have on yours) but have not had the time to book it in (I still intend to do it though).

Yes the APR ones are generic
But we can still do you the economy map on your car
I got 72.2 on the way in to work this moring , so with 131k miles on the clock , I can still see the good fuel economy

The service prive on 30k is what we call interim and that is £120 + VAT
