Default Koni STR.T suspension?

Hi Awsome guys and gals.
Can anyone give me some advice on the Koni STR.T suspension kit? I want to mod my Octy 1.8T but don't have masses of funds and these seem a reasonable price. I realise they're not adjustable, but Koni say they're set up the same as the Sport adjustable Kit on minimum setting. What kind of ride will this give? I'm not going track racing or anything, but do have a wife and baby to think about so it can't be too harsh. I basically want the Octy a bit lower and better handling. I would guess the minimum setting means the softest setting, which would still be harder than the standard shocks and springs? Any advice appreciated

Hi Mate
I have Koni STR.T kit on my Fabia
You are correct in saying that this kit is the same as the Sport kit without the dampening adjustability
It is set as it would be as standard on the Sport kit
I found that when the kit was first put on it did seem a bit firm , but then the car had done approx 100k miles and the shockers was WELL worn
But now that I have had it on for a while the car is not THAT firm at all
I love the drop that it has achieved and the ride quality
My car feels an absolute dream to drive and does sit very solid in the bends
Mark (my fella) has followed me on a number of occasions in his car and he says that the car does sit very well too
£251.06 + VAT too for the full kit for all 4 springs and shockers it is a fantastic price
Also Koni are renown for being one of the best for the VAG group
I hope that helps?
Sarah

Cheers Sarah, I think you may have made up my mind for me. I was looking at a used vRS kit but was worried about spring loads etc so I think I'll just go for the STR.
Many thanks,
John

No, it's the 1.8T Elegance, hence my hesitation over the vRS kit. I didn't think it would be a perfect match, if you see what I mean, due to different spring loads etc, but the Koni kit would be specifically for my model. Or am I wrong? Maybe the vRS
kit would be fine?

I need to get my 17" wheels and the 312 brakes sorted first. Then I'll get the suspension, and then … REMAP …

No
The vRS is completely different
Stick to the ones for your car and you will not have any issues
