Default Many Thanks to Awesome

Oh. My. Word.

Most important part first, I had the trial remap. There is no suitable smiley to express how hilariously great the 80 mile drive home was! I thank Sarah and Mark (who had a nice estate octy vRS) for helping to persuade me to try it out! A full-time version is now inevitable, as soon as my gearbox is sorted!

Anyway yes, thanks for doing a great job on the motor. I'll keep you apprised how the gearbox issue goes.
Pete, I think it was, has told me that i've got a broken tooth in first gear . It's always had a 'sound' in 1st since I bought her 'used-approved', alas nobody else realised. Anyway i'm just glad that it's been found out before the warranty goes out in April!

Thanks again for all the help, now i'm going for a drive now the car is back to 'normal' to see how hideously slow she feels

Cheerio,

Matt

Hi Matt
I knew you would say that
I am so glad you managed to have some fun out of the trial
Please do keep us informed of what happens with the gearbox as I would love to know , and fingers crossed for you at the same time
It was good to see you and I hope that we will see you again soon
It was a good Skoda day yesterday wasn`t it?
Sarah

Thanks Sarah, got the log book back yesterday! Just in time for my trip to Skoda!

Oh, one thing that has happened since the service last month; twice now I have come to start her in the mornin' and the coolant level warning light flashed and beeped at me. I shut it down, opened bonnet and the level was where it's always been, and above minimum. Started car again and it's gone!

Hello my dear
Oh it sounds like the expansion tank is acting up a tad
If the level is ok then the sensor thinks it is low
It is a common problems
The good thing is though , it does not take long to do and the tank is fairly cheap at approx £10
It is a long way to come to get this rectified too
But IIRC you are still under warranty and this should be done under warranty
If I can help you further please feel free to give me a shout
Sarah

Hi Sarah,
Did you say snow? My 4x4 loves it. Lets hope its snowing when I come to you soon for the service, cambelt and cruise control.
Hope you like the pic from Easter Sunday. The car is so much better since you did the re map, brakes and Haldex upgrade.......Better in the mud/snow than my old Scooby
