Sachs Performance Clutch Kit for 04 Fabia vRS

Hi Sarah,

Could you quote me happy for a Sach's Performance Clutch Kit for an 04 Fabia vRS?? Spoke to dealer today; (car in for 60k Service) and he tells me that i'm in dire need of a new clutch...

I am sorry about that
The Sachs kits have just gone up too
If we had them in stock it would have saved you a bit , but unfortunately we dont
It may be worth seeing if anyone else has one in stock , as they may be able to do it at the old price
But our price is £471.76 + VAT and that includes the clutch plate and pressure plate
I would advise going for a release bearing while it is all stripped down @ £47 ish + VAT from a dealers too

I too noticed that the kit has gone up in price from Sachs... I'll have a sniff round and see if anyone can do me one for the old price, but if not i'll give you a buzz... was mighty happy with my G88 discs and Mintex Pads from you guys...

PS: thanks for the notice on the release bearing - is there anything else that is worth changing (for prudence) whilst i've got the box out? My mate has a Honda Integra and they do a 'clutch servicing kit'... I'm unaware of Skoda doing such a thing but perhaps you can advise me otherwise...

I have not heard about the service kit but what an idea
The DMF could be checked out while the gearbox is out and do the release bearing
Just check the slave cylinder too , dont think there is many issues with that
They are inside the gearbox too you see
Or is it master cylinder in there , seem to think it is slave
Oh blimey , it gets a bit technical doesn`t it
But just do a good check round while you are there

The cyclinder in the box is the slave. The master is at the pedal end.

You'd be daft not to replace the DMF when you do a cluch change imho.

I agree, change the dmf at the same time.

Remember your also supposed to renew all the drive shaft spline bolts and locking washers

yeah the prices have gone up!!, its the euro to pound exchange rate. I've got a fabia in at min. I recovered it on friday on trailer. Quoted on old prices for turbo and sachs and came to order on monday and all the prices have gone up!!!
