Popped over to Jersey with the Superb, which now has 3 years MOT and 40K miles on the clock. Great island, even if the speed limit out of town is 40mph. No motorways, and a single short stretch of dual carriageway.
The rear tyres were changed at 33K miles, swapped a nearly new set from some whees I had used my previous octavia so the car is all set for the next major event this year.
Had 2 new tyres fitted today at 25K miles, the outside edges were fine but the centre section was down to the wear indicators. I had been running them a little hard I think.
June 2010, and the Superbs first major trip across europe. Over 3 weeks the car travelled via Calais, Rouen, Le Mans, Bordeaux, Madrid down to the Costa del Sol where the car visited Gibraltar, Granada, Fuengirola, Malaga, Marbella, Nerja, Salobrena, and other small towns. In total the car travelled 4225 for the entire trip.
Feb 2010 saw the Octavia replaced with an ex. Skoda UK Superb MK2. The car is a 58 reg, which had a little over 13K on the clock, in Rosso Brunello its the Elegance Spec with the 2.0 PD140 engine matted with the six speed DSG transmission.
