This is my first post :) and hopefully not the last!
My Furby VRS had its big service on Friday, CAM Belt, Water Pump and a cracked Intercooler pipe as well as a service and the price seemed better than what I was expecting.
Took car for a nice drive out yesterday and noticed an improvement in performance and a distinct lack of smoke :thumbup:
The drive took me from Hull to York. The outbound journey went smoohtly along the A1079 and A64 without any mishaps. The return journey took me back along the A1079 via South Cave and onto the A63. Thats when it went kind of went pear shape. I was making reasonable progress when I came up behind a car doing 50 in the outside lane, I slowed accordingly and waited patentily behind the car until it pulled in. I accelerated and to my horror, no power :'( No warning lights on the dashboard and just what fealt like no turbo!
I limped the car home and parked up. Left it a while a lifted the bonnet, couldn't see any problems not that I'm mecahnically minded but the intercooler pipe looked secure. I jumped in the car and took it for a run around the block, everything seemed normal again! Is this a turbo problem? I really hope not, if it is, anyone got any ideas on how much one will cost?
Will keep you posted as I'm trying to get car back into the dealer.
