Looks very tidy, especially considering it's age. And the electrics work, is this a Renault first or did they actually use to be good back then? :)
I googled the Renault 21 and found pics of the actual motor on that site.

I think i know what you mean anewman, I remember my dad bringing a Renault 9 home, and I put the window down fully. It needed to be coaxed up with a buttering/spreading knife.

There is a bit of an exhaust blow as there is a hole in the front pipe or down pipe?, I have found 3 patches of rust when giving it a wash/wax, the clutch pedal feels high (sits higher than the other pedals) but apart from that in terms of actual car it looks in better shape and needs a lot less work doing.

I was expecting something in a little worse condition when the guy suggested a swap but it has scrubbed up nicely.
oh and the the leather seats are quite comfy!
Thanks people.
It also came with a wad of receipts and has some decent history behind it.
Havent seen the hazard lights coming on by themselves yet!! :giggle:
I have seen some newer cars like Pugs and Citroens with brakelights that seem to be fused on though.
Awesome car! I come from a Renault loving family. I remember the day my Dad picked up his 'F' reg Renault 21 GTS. That was a pretty nippy car. The 2.0 litre even more so. I will always have fond memories of Renaults. Between my Dad and my uncle over a 15 -20 year period (as I grew up) they had the following cars between them:
Renault 4, Renault 12, 3 x Renault 18's, 2 x Renault 21's, Renault 9, Renault 5 mk1, 2 x Renault 5 mk 2's,
2 x Renault 19's, 2 x Renaults Clio's, Renault Megane, 2 x Renault Scenic's my Uncle still has a Renault - a Scenic DCi. I have got my Dad onto Seat's now though.

Nice Renault 21 you got there, Monaco even more so - being a rare beasty. When I first passed my test (1995) I had a certain fondness for the Renault 5 Monaco (1.7 litre), with that lovely leather interior - I never managed to get one though!!

Well I sold this car after it understeered on a wet bend into a high kerb. Damaged the front bumper. Oops but only the bumper got damaged and the car got sold.
Dear lord! Thhat's a blast from the past.. you just don't see that shape 21 on the road anymore.

My Dad had a 21 Symphony of the same shape, which was basically a mid range model with electric windows and sunroof. That car was so nice..

Oddly, My Mum has a Saab 9000 2.3 at the minute... but it's going soon,
