Škoda storms to IRC title with 1-2-3 on home rally
Škoda has won the 2010 Intercontinental Rally Challenge after a stunning all Fabia S2000 Facelift podium finish on its home round of the series, Barum Czech Rally Zlín (27-28 August).
Added some Euro Plates! I'm fussy with my plates and can never find the right plate to make the car look clean and a little different. So I ordered these. Aluminium pressed German plates.

I had my car valeted by oggy yesterday. I have to say, I was very impressed! I would highly recommend him.
Paul did a lovely job. The carpet is about ten shades lighter, the seats look fantastic - he also kindly kept the waste water from the carpet and windows to show me how much...
Not sporty but has leather seats, 80's brown colour and trim. very comfy and tidy with electrics that work!!

So i got my Octavia vrs on Tuesday evening in the ****ing rain (yes i no never buy a car in the rain ) and was well pleased by the basics of it so it came home ,Felt ok on the drive home no obvious problems so was more than happy .
Wednesday morning got up and it was still wet so started looking for tyres as i new they were all needing replaced...
Had 2 new tyres fitted today at 25K miles, the outside edges were fine but the centre section was down to the wear indicators. I had been running them a little hard I think.
had a crack in one of the foglights so thought while i was whipping the bumper off id change the sidelights and dip beam bulbs as well as the fogs, went for the ice blue upgrade from autobulbs.com, complete the look and dont make the xenons look out of place now, suprised how easy it was to get the bumper off, fitted some white 4 led sidelights...
my wheels ended up peeling as the laqure was coming off, and so the guys who did it kindly took the wheels back giving them some proper tlc as the guy who they used to have screwed it up. good to hear he's long gone!
my mate was kind enough to lend me some golf wheels, so here's whats keeping my motor on the road!

Last week I stripped out some parts from the MX-5 and took them with me to work and while I was in the hotel at night I carbon wrapped them.
I just used the hotel hairdryer, and a craft knife with a little patience. The results are pretty good imho. I sanded all the components with some P1600 wet and dry first to give the film something to key...
I didn't order MDI with my car (i can't remember what the reason was) but i found SD cards not to fit with my way of working (itunes for podcasts) so i decided to retrofit MDI with OEM parts.
Today I got the car in for it's tracking after fitting all the new parts and it was a mile out ! All sorted though and the steering wheel is straight again :) Took a couple of pics of it on the lift, nothing special but thought I'd upload them anyways lol

I've added the vRS Badge, new black badge, and resprayed the chrome surround. Next up on the list DENTS/CHIPS REMOVED, vRS bumpers (w/splitter), 17" Black and Red alloys, dropped on coilovers. I will keep updating this blog so you can see my slow progress haha

Time is tight next week so decided to get a clean done today so will only hopefully need a reclean next weekend.
