As promised, insurers who quoted me:

Adrian Flux (SPECIALIST CAR INSURANCE & CHEAP CAR INSURANCE UK FROM ADRIAN FLUX - 08000 838833): £713 with £300 excess underwritten by highway - would not reduce further when told them about cheaper quotes received

The Policy Shop (Cheap Insurance brought to you by the Policy Shop Insurance Services - 0800 0644404): £665 with £350 excess underwritten by ensign - reduced quote to £645 when told them that Chris Knott matched their £665.

Chriss Knott (chrisknott.co.uk - 0800 9172274): renewal £759.99 but matched £665 with all mods listed - reduced quote to £640 when I told them about The Policy Shop's quote.

Most so called performance/modified insurers wouldn't quote though due to the amount of bhp increase

Q - sorry to have raised your hopes but following "discussions" with the wife last night she blankly refuses to change her car

For others info I got a quote for insurance for Q's car from Chris Knott which was £660 fully comp with £350 excess which I thought was very reasonable for a heavily modded car.

Good luck with the sale and sorry.

Good to hear that there are still people interested in this... I have almost given up hope

Weeblu, if you are serious, why not come around for a test drive and bring a small deposit to secure it if you like it?

Quinten, Its a stunning car & ridiculously cheap, I think January is just a bad time to sell. I know people in the trade & they are having a horrendous month although things are starting to move a bit now so dont despair

Someone is going to get an absolute bargain

Really cant beleive this hasn't sold.
The mods alone would cost that much, so it's a free car really !

You know you want it Tom!!

If you are going to jump into the pond you may as well go in feet first and do it properly.

How about

?

The fuel consumption has not suffered at all from the work done, it's probably slightly better over a standard one. So 40mpg on a motorway, 30-ish in and out of town and about 10mpg if you push it

Traction control is your right foot. It's not a simple on/off switch, so you learn to dose the amount of power you send through the front wheels.
