| Well, I have changed my mind again! As much as I love this car (more so now the weather is picking up so I can wax it more ), I plan to tour europe this year and the budget will be quite tight so I would prefer to do it in a diesel. This car is in excellent condition and it really doesn't deserve to be sitting nose to tail in motorway traffic jams so it's time for me to pass it on to someone who has more time to continue giving it the care it deserves. This is from my original post: The car was first registered in January 2003 (the 15th I believe) and is on a 52 plate. For those of you who have not come across the WRC, it was a 100-off special edition which was released by Skoda to mark 100 years in motorsport. Usual vRS Spec plus lots of extras: - Xenon Headlights - Electronic stability program (ESP) - Traction control - Cruise control - Climate control - Heated, half leather sports seats - 6 CD auto changer - Side airbags - Alarm and immobiliser - Rear parking sensors - 'cat vision' interior lighting + rear courtesy lights - Whiteline rear anti-roll bar Please note, the Sat Nav is no longer fitted As you would expect of a car like this, it has been lovingly maintained with regular coats of high quality wax. The oil has been changed every 5,000 miles since I bought it (it was on 29,000 miles when I collected it and is now showing 78,500). I have always used high quality, fully synthetic oil (Castrol edge or Mobil 1) along with genuine filters. The cam belt was changed in July/august along with a metal water pump and rollers/tensioner and auxiliary belt. The interior is as new condition with no marks, rips, scuffs, scratches or holes. The exterior is also excellent condition with the only damage being the usual stone chips along the leading edges. This is number 63 of 100... I am let to believe that around 25 of the 100 were made in UK spec, and many of those have now been 'de-stickered', molested or written off. Note: You are more than welcome to come and view/test drive the car (by appointment only, please) but please do not waste my time - no test pilots!. Now £5250 This is your last chance to buy this I've been offered a fair trade in which is not too far below my asking price here, so if it doesn't go then I'll be giving it to Skoda who will no doubt advertise it for silly money ![]() Thanks. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by VRSPhil; 09-10-2008 at 17:46. |

| Thanks guysIt really needs to go this time. I don't want to put rocket ship miles on it trundling up and down the M1 when I move to London. Nor do I want to park a target in the centre of London! It has until I get a start date... if it's not sold then I'll have to trade it ![]() P.S. Rhys, get rid of that Chelsea tractor and buy yourself a nice Octy WRC I might even deliver if you play your cards right ![]() ![]() |

| I will regret selling it no matter what get. I highly doubt I'll get the opportunity to own another car like this. The Mk1 vRS IMHO is a fantastic balance of performance and practicality, and combined with the rarity of this one, it's a cracking car.... I just wont be able to continue giving it the care it deserves, so I'm going to get something which I wont worry about leaving in car parks ![]() |

| I'm really, really tempted to this. My other car (mazda 323 v6) has been written off this wek. Just waiting for confirmation and payout amount from the insco. Then I might be contacting you. My hands are tied till then. (why do they take so long). Just got a golf 2.0tdi GT as a hire car. Very solid drive but doesnt come close to the little furby ![]()

I'm sorry to hear of your accident. Let me know if you're still interested in the future. If it doesn't sell before hand, I don't plan to trade it until mid to late June. The sat nav is not currently for sale on it's own. My plan is to remove it and then sell it after the car has gone. The reason for this is that I will give the buyer of the car first choice. Cheers Phil | |

| Thanks for the update phil. I will of course be in touch when I know I am in a position to potentially buy it. My only small concern is it might be a bit "bling" for my area and I dont have a drive, bit hey its never stopped me before ![]()
