EddyH's Octavia - For Sale. (again, yes I know so soon)
The Octavia is not for me despite throwing several hundred more ££ at it to tailor it to my own tastes. A Touareg becons for me now.

Specs as Eddy listed save for the few bits I changed below. Its a tidy car, huge spec, goes like a scud missile with the stealth to match, but its not for me. I miss the big car feel of my S8 badly.


It's a 2001 '51' Black Magic Octavia 4x4 Turbo Estate which has covered around 73k miles around 20k of which have been since the engine build and turbo conversion. It's totally unique and has had over £20k spent on it including a rebuilt strengthened engine and turbo conversion and 6spd transmission. The car has been RR'd at 460bhp and 390ftlb, running only 1.65bar of boost for reliability, this could be increased quite easily with a tweak of the remap if required . I use the car as my daily driver and it's proved very reliable. Full spec below:

Would I be right in thinking you wouldn't be able to get standard spider alloys over the front brakes?

I'd take the eyebrows off, put the standard badges back on too!!!

Do love this car, its about the most complete Octy ever done imho.

handles well to, stops well (very well)
very capable B road motoring.

now has improved oil breather system, removed N249/N118 and other assorted non-required solenoids etc.

Smoother for it.
new rear disks/pads to go on.

Its got a free flowing giant green cone filter on it now (off my racecar) which makes a difference.
replumbed pcv system, simplified vacuum lines, and runs nicer than ever.

It has to go to make way for new car.

not tested it but ~5sec 0-60, wet or dry tho.
160mph+
returning me 25mpg on mixed driving.

Insurance for me is 1/2 what my S8 was costing me. I am however an old git @ 40 now
