Default Digital Speed

Hi has anyone done the digital speed display on the octy vrs i have seen these on ebay which you can change the climate control to display thespeed is this any good and has anyone done it also how thanks

Don't buy it off EBay.

It's available free of charge on Briskoda...

thanks for the info great but does it still read the normal settings for the heating as well if not how would i control the setting for the fan and also can i swith it back and how thankyou

Not sure on that as my Fabia only has climatic rather than climatronic. May be worth having a play in yours and reporting back as a search didn't seem to turn up any info

Just press ECON to get the display back to normal. In the meantime the Climatronic settings for fan speed and temperature remain as selected. As I have commented recently, the Climatronic speed readout is not accurate - although it does appear to be more accurate than the speedo. And given the position of the Climatronic display, it's downright dangerous to try and maintain road speed using that read-out. I class it as one of those things you experiment with once and then discard as being of no further interest.
