| Here are some more Fabia ECU settings that can be programmed with VAG-COM. they come from OpenObd.org (Babelfish translated from German, but some parts really quite unclear). I have used some of the coding - changed country code, adjusted the highway flashers and the default wipers. However, my usual disclaimer applies. | What about setting up sth. real instead? http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php/...Fabia_%286Y%29 You will find a lot of the stuff which is currently on my original website their in a while and you will also find more than that, so it would be "thankful" to place links instead of leeching knowledge and work without a small note about the source.

| I'm sorry if by starting this thread, I seem to have upset anyone. As you can see from the very first post - I acknowledge the source. Elsewhere on this forum I mention Sebastian at openobd.org as a wonderful resource. He has helped me several times by email - and is an expert non=pareil in this complex matter. I only wished to point out a great source of info. With over 11,000 members on Briskoda.net I only wish that an English Language version would be available. Babelfish does not do this valuable info a proper service. I really feel that Briskoda.net would be honoured by properly approaching this gentleman to see if he would be so kind as to provide a thread resource specific to our cars vag-com setups. | I am not comfortable with the direction this thread is heading. I consider Stu a friend - we've had more than a few msg's back and forth and I wouldn't allow anyone to say anything less than complimentary. The purpose of this forum is to provide information to members in a friendly manner. I would remind newer members that according to forum rules, any personal insults will result in banning. All the best, Bas Last edited by Basil; 29-04-2006 at 09:44. |

| Thanks for the info... There are a couple of items I might consider, such as the amount of wipes when using the washer and different alarm tone. Thanks again. |

| Firstly you are assuming that the knowledge published was leached, possibly from openOBD.org and secondly you also seem to be assuming that every access code relating to VAG vehicles is the intellectual property of that website. Whilst I will agree that openOBD is a fantastic resource, and I congratulate you on it's content, I do take offence at the comments you make above regarding my website. It seems we will have to agree to disagree and continue in our own seperate ways. Do keep up the good work and in the future should you you wish to share information with me I would gladly include the necessary credits.
