| Hi to all, I've just got it from Fance, from Ross Tech distributor. First, I have to learn to deal with it. I'm largely experienced with computers and have a lot of knowledge of mechanics, so I'll be fine I guess. Anyway, my first intentions are to try to change some things: - Try to make my steering a bit lighter - Try to apply "beep" on locking and unlocking - Try to change those three turning blinks to four - Try to dissable seatbelt warning That would be beginning. If anyone knows how to do any of these things and is willing to help, that would save me researching this forum and others (I'm always very short of avaliable time, lot of work) Thanks to all

| For the seat belt warning subtract 02 from the third and fourth digits of the dash panel coding. Here: VW Golf (1K) Instrument Cluster - Ross-Tech Wiki |

| - Try to make my steering a bit lighter only on a fabia and not an octy can this be done. - Try to apply "beep" on locking and unlocking i think its under convienience and then coding 2, then advance then move along the bits till you find it in the same section as the indiciator alarm flash - Try to change those three turning blinks to four no can do on octy - Try to dissable seatbelt warning this is (off the top of my head in the adaption part of convience i beleive) you have to subtract a certain number of digits from the total, it will say on it what to deduct. i know this is mentioned somewhere on the forum (hint use the search )Im sure stu will be along soon to give better info |

- "Bleep" for locking via remote and "bleep, bleep" for unlocking via remote - Seatbelt warning dissabled by unplugging the plug bellow the seat - "Rain drop" for rear tail wiper (whatever it was) - Change alarm siren tone from frequency modulated to continuos - Auto windows close after remote pressed for 2sec. I don't have to hold the button anymore to close them. Works only for closing, not opening. Tried alarm after, siren tone has changed, sounds better now. Haven't found (as suggested in your answers) number of turning sing blinks. Found something about steering, like Taxi mode or Normal mode. Haven´t changed to Taxi mode as I didn't know what it was.

I'm going to look for drivers door windows buttons delay when door is opened after key's out of ignition. I've heard that you can set it not to loose the power as soon as you open the door, but one minute later. So, we'll see it on weekend.

| Forgot to say, I've enabled "Emergency braking light". Found one post saying that it should, on hard braking, flash braking lights few times (not turning signs). Don't know if it works, don't have the way to check it yet. Have to find someone to drive behind...

- SELECT CONTROL MODULE - Select - COMMON - 09-Cent. Elect. - Coding 07 - Long Coding Helper - Go to Byte6 - Enable the Bit6 (Comfort Function Automatic Closing) - Save your work (the way of saving depends on sowtware version. On mine I just close the window and then press "Do it")

| I've found module for steering weight settings. It was set on 5 and it would accept settings from 0 to 5. Tried one by one but steering remained the same weight. Now I put it back on 5. So, conclusion would be that we can't change steering weight for Octy2 140 TDi. Other thing, I enabled delay for door windows switches loosing the power after door opening, but it's not working. As soon as I open the door, switches loose power. Also, I have three, for me known, fault codes: - I took off fuse for headlights washers, there is a fault code but no warning on dash. - I've changed puddle lights bulbs to LED bulbs (stronger and more blue to match my Xenons). One fault code for each door. - Seatbelt warning is unplugged bellow the driver's seat. There is no fault code and no dash warning. Didn't want to dissable it on VagCom as I might need to plug it back if needed to visit the dealer. The same is with headlight washers. I can easily put the fuse back. So, I guess nothing else to do with VagCom for the time being.
