Default Problems with turbo air dump noise and strange VAG Codes

hi
I've not posted much on here for a while as my Octy vrs has been running fine, so as per usual I only turn up when I have a problem

firstly, i'm not sure if i've posted this in the correct forum, please could a mod move it if so!

recently I’ve noticed when dipping the clutch during hard (well, above normal) acceleration I get the sound of a dump of air "chhhhhhhh" (like a dump valve, but not as loud!) from the driver's side front wing. I attempted to have a dealer diagnose the problem, but received the usual "there's no problem showing on the diags report"

I decided to renew that plastic thing (diverter valve?) that sits up over the engine block, which has improved the smoothness of general acceleration, but it hasn’t solved the problem with the air dumping sound.

Anyway, a mate has the VAG-COM stuff on his laptop, so we plugged it in and its showing some weirdness with the fuel trims. Looking at the instructions for the diag tool, it would appear that the bizarre minus value on the 2nd sensor is due to a loss of air? Would this have something to do with a pipe in the wing that has had an advisory on it?

Any help greatly appreciated as mr dealer has proved to be utterly useless
(As my engine management isn’t reporting a fault code)

Thanks in advance

I’ve also created a report, which appears to be highlighting a problem with my aircon, but this isn’t really important right now.

That fault code relates to the cabin ventilation system and not the engine.

could be a leak or a hole in the exhaust system somwhere, that could also account for the noises you are getting when air is being dumped.

no... i can still hear it making a noise sometimes. I can't find anything wrong with the aircon or the heating so i decided to leave it until it breaks down completely!

...the turbo noise problem turned out to be a 3 inch split in the turbo pipe, which i found myself after 3 dealer visits had turned up nothing.

NEVER visit a dealership outside of your warranty. Useless *****
