| I have a MY06 Octavia II elegance with rain sensing wipers I have seen this Ross Tech Wiki VW Golf (1K) Rain/Light Sensor - Ross-Tech Wiki If I wanted to make the sensor LESS sensitive to rain, do I just make the byte 00 smaller ? eg. Byte 00 = 4D (hex) = 77 (dec) = Rain Sensor Correction value is 77% Thanks |

| Even if you alter the coding it has no real effect, except maybe making it worse. Been there, done that. ![]() Post the related part of an Auto-Scan, maybe I have other advice for you...

| The 1K0-955-559-T has been reported to be inconsistent or a little late by some drivers while others have no problems with it. Personally I have a 1K0-955-559-AB which I am very happy with and which would be the current replacement part for your sensor. Regarding the coding, feel free to play with it but based on experience I doubt you will see a positive change. Keep in mind that those values are not directly related to the wiping process but instead they correspond with the installed windshield and it's ability to transmit/reflect certain frequencies of light.
