| Hi there guys, A friend has just bought a Fabia 2 1.2 htp and is wnating some VAG-COMing doing. The dealer enabled the anti-hijack and auto-unlock but wants the full works doing. Stuff like windows with key-fob, second fog-light (don't think its enabled/possible), windows to work without ignition, emergency braking lights (again doin't know if possible on fabia), extra wipe with wash possibly and coming/leaving home lighting. Im sure he would be willing to come to some arrangement in regards payment/beer tokens! Cheers Phil |

| Oh right... I thought it would have worked as the dealer had already enabled the anti-hijack and auto-unlock on the drivers door so assumed the rest could be done. Thanks Phil |

| Is the Mk2 Fabia can based? Would the KKL cable work? You would also need to know the adaptation settings for someone to do it for you.

| I think you'd have to be reliant on whatever information was in VAG-COM and hence you'd need a genuine cable.

| I see... so someone elses licensed cable wouldn't work as it would be the wrong type... Unless someone has the right one? What kind of price would he be looking at... and would he actually be able to do all the things listed above? Just wanting to know if its worth it that all. Thanks |

| Yes someone elses cable would be fine.As Stu says even the basic k-line one like mine will work as long as it is registered. You will need to do a search and find out what can be done though and as its a new Fabia there may not be much about it.

| The reason I suggested a fully registered cable was so that it could take advantage of any new label files that had been written

Or even once i've found to do it all we still won't be able to do everything he wants? Cheers for your help guys... im new to this stuff... my felicia is far simpler to just read fault codes etc off! lol Phil |
