| I was reading on another thread that you could buy a lead and download an older vag com software. I was wondering if this was true as i cant afford the other at the moment and i just wanted to keep an eye on fault codes and to get use to the software. if so where can i get both from?

| You can download older VAG-COM software for free from Ross-Tech's website. Cheap interface leads are available on eBay. Some work and some don't. Have a look at the various VAG forums for pointers.
