Default Where is the diagnostic socket on an Octavia 1?

Hi,
As a new owner of an Octavia 1.9TDI, can you please tell me where the socket is to connect my code reader?

If your car is an Octavia 1, the socket is at the back of the small compartment below and to the right of the steering wheel. There may be a removable blank covering it. Have a look at the excellent resource below for photos of the locations of the sockets on the various VAG cars, including yours:
