Where does it plug in?

Probably a really stupid question, but where does one plug VAG COM into a MK1 Octy?

Guy at work has a copy that he uses on his Seat, so I thought I might havea look.

small shelf under steering coloum there is a purple multipin socket about the same size as a scart telly lead ,it may have a clip on cover .get a torch and its easy to spot .

Take that image and mirror it and thats how it is on a RHD car too, except for the light switch being the right way around
