| I'm afraid the only alternative is a 3rd party cable from ebay and the freeware version of Vagcom. |

| You get what you pay for, imo save that bit extra and get the real deal MicroCan. To be Frank at the current exchange rates you'd be daft not to!

| Microcan will cost your around £125 here - VAG-COM License with Micro-CAN Interface: Ross-Tech Store and allow a bit for shipping and customs You'll have it in 2 to 3 days. You cannot get a legal version of VAG-COM for the Octy II other than a genuine Ross Tech Lead from either Ross Tech or Gendan who arre the UK disributer.

| its certainly worth it and cheaper than keep popping into the garage to do stuff. Also you can do some things that the garage cant do or wont do too!! |

| Yes it does seem that Gendan may have reduced prices, there used to be a big difference between the two.

| I can confirm that Gendan did reduce their prices because of the exchange rate. Dean told me he was going to do that with his last order from us. |
