We have a Fabia level 3 1.4 TDi. Excellent car, and as a 3 cylinder diesel it pulls very well and is smooth and quiet once it gets rolling....... However what I can't find the the dimmer switch for the dashboard illumination..... would normally expect a vertical wheel type item next to the rotary light switch on the right of the steering wheel. Anyone else with the same issue ??

I think all Fabia II owners has the same issue.. They have skipped the brightness adjustment of the dash illumination on the new Fabia (to save money? ) I found this annoying at first, but have gotten used to the "bright" light now. Enjoy! Jon A

| VW Fox doesn't have a wheel but you alter brightness via '0' milage dial on dashpod itself. Could Fabia II be the same?? Just a thought...

Haven't found a way to do it but like others think I've adjusted to it now. This is one of only a couple of faults found with the car - the other is that the AC button doesn't light up that well in bright sunshine so very hard to tell if you've got the Air Con on or not!

They did this with the first Octavia II back in 2004. The first cars did not have a dimmer switch for the instruments, only a headlight switch. Now if you look inside any Octavia II they both have the two switches. Fabia IIs might follow suit later.
