Depends on what spec and extras you order I'm afraid!

Re: Delivery Times

So, if we stick close to the basic spec for the trim level, delivery gets speeded up somewhat? I'll be ordering in early March.

Re: Delivery Times

Hi,
Just out of interest in VAG products. As of yesterday VW are giving a twenty week !!! wait on new Golf Estates made in Mexico. Incredible isn't it !!
So the Fabia estate being available in the times quoted above seem very reasonable.

Re: Delivery Times

Two months seems a long time to someone who's never bought new before and who's used to collecting their purchase a week later! It does mean I can take longer to decide the spec as I'm still not sure whether to go for 1.4 16v or 1.6 16v. I'm not a big fan of oil burners. I had a Nova 1.5 TD some time ago and that was an excellent car, though the steering was rather heavy. I then bought a Corsa 1.7D and that car was a lemon. We had never-ending problems with it. I don't do enough miles to pay a premium for diesel and with diesel here costing £1.11 a litre, it would be hard to make it pay.

Decisions, decisions, decisions!

That is a long wait, who'd buy a Golf estate anyway, get an Octy!

And no offence to any Mexicans, but I'm quite surprised they're selling Golf's in the UK built in Mexico. I dunno, you kind of expect a VW to be built in Germany when buying in Europe.

Re: Delivery Times

if you go for a standard spec level 2 or 3. in a reasonable colour, silver, grey, blue etc. and go for 1.4i or diesel you might be lucky and find one out there and get it before the end of march.

but allot ive ordered in jan are only now being built for march delivery. 8 to 12 weeks is the normal. i would expect a factiry build to appear near the end of may now. unless the dealer finds a car thats partial built.

Re: Delivery Times

Hey Woodenspatulas!

Did u mean that factory orders from Jan will appear in March or just standard build cars?
Just wondered cause I ordered a Skoda Fabia Sport on Jan 17th, so what do u think the arrival time will be on that?

I ordered mine ( Estate) 12th Feb & the delivery date is late April early May, so possibly yours will be late March early April.
