Fabia 1.2 1 (60) Petrol Manual

I have just taken delivery of a Fabia 1(60) It has just done 1000 miles. What MPG can I expect on motorway and general use when run in? . I don't trust the official figures.

Well Skoda Say 58.9 for extra urban, but Im guessing extra urban is about 50MPH. For such a tiny engine a constant 70 on the motorway will probably fall quite short of 58.9

Are all vehicles supposed to be tested in the UK for fuel consumption etc?
