Instead of an air filter what about buying some fuel to put in the car?

PD160 air intake is always a good mod, especially if your planning any considerable bhp modifications at a later date! Plus a Green Panel Cotton Air Filter is a nice addition and not too costly. Uprated headlight bulbs I think are almost a must for the new Fabia!!

Regards,

Mark

Will they fit on the Mk2? At £75 a pop nowadays, I'd put the money to one side unless you're definitely going to get remapped or put a tuning box on. No sense in voiding your warranty unnecessarily (it counts as an engine modification).

I'd personally also put the money for a 'performance' filter to one side too, and just replace my OEM paper one more regularly.

Sorry if that leaves you having to find something else to do with your day off, but if you have big modding aspirations, I'm sure the £100 you'll save by not buying those things now will help!

Your probably right with regards to warranty issues may be it would be better for him to save the cash. In response to the PD160 air intake - it does fit the mkII as the pd105 engine is exactly the same as the pd100 just with an updated ecu! The intake would fit the 1.4tdi but would be totally pointless at the same time!!
