| Hi, I was wondering if anyone has roof bars for the new fabia? Mine resonates to unbearable level between about 40 and 60 mph! Told by the dealer it's what you get with roof bars, and nothing can be done. Thanks Ed (Hello everyone too, first post !) |

| I was interested in buying a roof rack for my fabia, did you buy the genuine rack from the dealer or was it an aftermarket one? Never had this problem with a roof rack previously. I would suggest checking that everything is tight, if this doesnt work disassemble the roof rack and reassemble it using thin black foam, (available from fabric shops) between the places the parts meet eachother and the bodywork. let us know if that helps. |

the roofbars on my Fabia Mk 1 estate don't resonate, and it's unacceptable if they do on any car, especially a new one like yours. I think your dealer's attitude is far too complacent: are they really saying it's a characteristic of roobars?! It's either a design fault in which case the dealer should be letting Skoda UK know, or there's a problem with the fitting on your new car. The dealer should investigate anyway. Personallly I think you should insist the dealer has a look, and contact Skoda UK if you're not satisfied with the outcome or the dealer. Best of luck with getting this sorted out. | |
