Default 1.4 16v stutter

i have noticed that my 1.4 16v fabia stutters or is a bit hesitant when pulling away from juctions etc. I have found threads about vrs doing this, is this a known problem with the 1.4 16v to? is there anything that can be done about it?

I think I have the same problem is it when you have just pulled off and changed from 1st to second?
As I start to accelerate in 2nd it seems to stutter.

Does the 1.4 16v share the same mountings as the vrs?

Id check the engine mounts before looking at anything else, especially the "dogbone" mount if it has one?
