Smile 312mm Brakes now on!

Firstly a few thanks:

Steve (Golf Turbo for sourcing them), Steve (Young Syd) for doing an amazing job on the painting and preparing them so well for going on, and lastly to Jabbasport for fitting them today.

Having only driven 90 miles since having them on, I cannot give exhaustive commentary, but they really are MILES better than the standard ones. Immediate bite and massive stopping power Highly recommended!

once they're bedded in - you can try doing "motorbike stoppies", lol.

What brake pads are you running?

Re: 312mm Brakes now on!

I wouldnt like the idea of having 312's behind the standard 16's. for two points really

1- arent there heating up / cooling down issues with having brakes so near to the alloy??
2- Its a bitch to clean the alloys

Re: 312mm Brakes now on!

Look great behind the standard wheels

Just gave mine the second coat of paint this afternoon, and will hopefully have time to fit them a week on Monday. Can't wait, even though I never actually get to drive the Fabia!

Thanks for all the kind comments guys!

Just finished cleaning the car (4 hours so not bad)

Let the Zymol Destiny cure, a quick spray of Zymol Field Glaze and ready to take on all comers tomorrow!

Pics of detailing process to come later!

Cheers!

Re: 312mm Brakes now on!

so what VAG cars other than TT can these come from as a donor or can they be bought as a kit from somewhere?

Must admit they do look tight behind standard 16s.
