What problem are you experiencing with the air con?

Re: Aircon problem again!

Too cold outside?

The air-con will not kick in if outside the air temperature is below 5 C.

The compressor is a "clutchless" wobble plate arrangement so should be continuously being driven on a low duty cycle. If it isn't running then it might be worth checking fuses, etc. As also mentioned above, the air con switches itself down when the ambient temperature is less than 5 deg C to prevent damage.

Have you had a compression test down on the gas to ensure there's enough of it and it's not leaking?

Hi Chris, firstly! the gas i think is ok as i bought a kit from halfords with a gauge and it states its got too much in???
The clutch is it the black plastic looking thing on the end of the compressor? if so this can easily be moved by hand but with the engine running is not turning and yet the pulleys are! not the temp as i tried today with my temp gauge reading 12 deg! really gettin cheesed off with it now
Cheers for the info Lee
