| Are all coolant reservoirs the same? Thinking about replacing my coolant reservoir as it's looking a little shabby - I think it got a little caked up whilst empty during the conversion and doesn't have that clean crisp look to the plastic. Can I swap in any coolant bottle from a Fabia? I sort of assume the electrical connector does the same thing, regardless of model? Merci.

| Re: Are all coolant reservoirs the same? My ETKA only lists 6Q0 121 407 and 6Q0 121 407A as expansion tanks for all engines, so it looks like they are all the same, with a mod to create the A spec at some time in the production run. |

| Re: Are all coolant reservoirs the same? Only difference IIRC is the filler cap, which is not as 'high' on the Fabia as it is on say a Golf. Parts fit though ![]()

| Re: Are all coolant reservoirs the same? Cheers. Means when one comes up locally in a scrapper I can nab the bottle without any worries. It's purely an aesthetic thing, and I know the bottle works fine and the cloudiness of the plastic is nothing to do with oil in the coolant. Coolant is as clean as a whistle.

| Re: Are all coolant reservoirs the same? I bought a new one this week, £19.14+VAT 121407A, from VW mind, but the part number is the same. ![]() I too only replaced mine for cosmetic reasons. Really does smarten up the engine bay.
