Best Deal on a Fab VRS

Where is the best place to buy a Fab VRS from.
I'm looking to order a new VRS fairly soon, I want a black with cruise control.
What sort of price should i be able to haggle the dealers down to? I'v seen places on the net advertising them a fair bit lowet than main dealers but they have ne deffinate delivery time and most will not offer part exchange.
I cant really manage without a car so selling min privatly and then waiting for one which has been ordered online isnt really an option.

Best price I've seen posted on here so far was £11,250 IIRC, but I don't remember if it was anything other than standard spec. Have a play with the search function and "new fabia" There have been a lot of threads on this over the past couple of weeks.

We managed to get about 1k off list for a Fabia vRS with some options on, and a delivery of 1st March (05 reg) from Merritts Skoda, Aylesbury. The best discount from 4 other local dealers was £500 off list.

Interestingly Merritts said they were able to do that so they would meet a target bonus, whereas the other dealers insisted that the Skoda UK would not give them any bonus' for selling x number of Fabia vRS's and would not offer any more discount. Hence why we went for Merritts. Also they had a 'proper' showroom and set up, as opposed to the 'car dealer' type Skoda places I have been to in the past. Totally satisfied with them so far.

Hope this is useful, good luck with your quest.

Good spot, Dave. Compared to drivethedeal.com they are a bit cheaper - but DtD include delivery in their prices whereas Autofinders don't. Given that Bakewell isn't too far away, that isn't necessarily a bad thing, though! Would be quite a nice run back in the new vRS.

The trade in would be trade value at that. I had no p/x - but as an example if you wanted to take a 3 year old Octavia in with average miles you may be looking at 5-6k with all the discount of the new car. "price to change" is the most important figure though. I did it the best of both worlds, sold my car privatly which means no one makes on my car, and screwed the dealer down for cash which means i got a bargin new car

As much as I'd prefert to sell my car privatly and then buy a new car, I cant really manage without a car in the meantime so timine the sale of my car and delivery of the new one might be a problem.
I'm waiting for a trade in value for my car from www.autofinders.ltd.uk
but in the mean time does anyong want to buy a nice top of the range honda Accord?

I find the best way of judging the price of your car is to go onto autotrader.co.uk and searching for similar cars to yours within 60 miles of you being sold private. This is more realistic than "book" value.

I asked about a trade in on my 04 plate vRS, with 30K exactly, bought 1st May 04. Mint condition.

Skoda offered 7,450
Ford offered 7,985

Private sale i rekon between £9-10K.

No choice really, only way to go is private sale.
